Allison Homes takes Wittering Primary School children on storytelling adventure for Roald Dahl Day

To celebrate Roald Dahl Day, which takes place today on Tuesday 13th September, we have treated Cambridgeshire pupils to special storytelling sessions at our Harriers Rest development.

Two year three classes at Wittering Primary School, consisting of 48 pupils in total, visited the show home at our Harriers Rest development in Wittering, in groups of 24.

The school children enjoyed interactive storytelling sessions from professional storyteller Mark Fraser, in celebration of Roald Dahl Day. Roald Dahl Day honours the famous author on his birthday, and celebrates the works of the nation’s well-loved storyteller.

Charlotte Blake, Headteacher at Wittering Primary School, said:

“We are thrilled to have received this fantastic storytelling session from Allison Homes and Mark Fraser. The children had a wonderful time visiting the show home and seeing the Harriers Rest development. They thoroughly enjoyed listening to Mark’s stories.

“It’s important to us that we provide our children with a love and appreciation of storytelling and reading. Roald Dahl Day is the perfect time to let their imagination run wild. Thank you to Allison Homes for celebrating this day with us.”

Samantha Hart, Sales and Marketing Director at Allison Homes commented on the day. She said,

“We are thrilled to have hosted these incredible storytelling sessions for the pupils of Wittering Primary School at our Harriers Rest show home.

“We have loved getting involved with Roald Dahl Day, and are delighted to hear that all of the children had a fantastic time. At Allison Homes, we strive to support the communities amongst which we build as much as possible, and look forward to continuing this mission well into the future.”
