Just three miles away is the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford on the River Welland. Frequently used as a location in period films and TV programmes, the town boasts 17^th and 18^th century stone buildings, older timber-framed structures and medieval churches.  Stamford also provides a multitude of shopping, dining and entertainment options, as well as a popular weekly Farmers Market which is held every Friday.
