Allison Homes helps rehome rescued pets with £500 donation

In honour of National Pet Month, which is taking place throughout April, Allison Homes’ Central region has donated £500 to Three Counties Dog Rescue, helping them to provide rescued dogs and cats with new homes.

Three Counties Dog Rescue, founded in 1971, is based in Bourne, Lincolnshire and operates within a 50 mile radius, covering Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.

The charity is dedicated to caring for unwanted, lost and stray dogs and cats, making sure they receive medical care whilst waiting to be moved to a permanent new home or into foster care. Since it began, Three Counties Dog Rescue has successfully rehomed over 7,000 dogs and cats.

Allison Homes’ £500 donation will go towards the general running of the rescue and help the charity to pay for much needed medical treatments.

Gyll Mauchline of Three Counties Dog Rescue, said: “Like many charities, Three Counties Dog Rescue has to fight a constant battle with increasing costs. Rehabilitation of poorly animals coming to us is costly. We recently took in an injured dog with complicated leg fractures which needed specialist treatment costing us £7,400.

“We rely on donations to supplement our income and the support of Allison Homes is most welcome.”

Mallory Matthew, Regional Sales Manager at Allison Homes, said: “We are delighted to have donated £500 to Three Counties Dog Rescue this National Pet Month, and to be helping these wonderful animals receive the urgent care they need and find new homes.

“A huge part of our ethos at Allison Homes is offering our support to local charities wherever possible. We are building new homes within Lincolnshire, Rutland, Cambridgeshire and Newark, where Three Counties Dog Rescue also operates, so donating to them was a no brainer.”
