Allison Homes employees put best foot forward to raise over £400 for Cancer Research UK

We are delighted that members of our team have collectively raised a total of £470 for Cancer Research UK, after running the Race for Life and the Muddy Race for Life in Stamford on Saturday 4th June.

Seven employees from across Allison Homes, along with their families and some beloved pets, decided to run or walk for this good cause, with two members of staff taking part in both races and running a total of 10k.

Both races were five-kilometre runs, with the Muddy Race also involving completing an obstacle course, which saw participants crawl through a mud pit and wade through shallow streams.

So far, our Race for Life team has raised £375, with the Muddy Race team reaching £95.

Glyn Mabey, Regional Managing Director at Allison Homes Central, said: “We couldn’t be prouder of our team here at Allison Homes, and to have seen them spend their spare time and money supporting those battling cancer throughout the UK.

“They’ve shown tremendous heart in undertaking these runs, and ended up raising a fantastic amount of money for this wonderful cause. We’re overwhelmed by the generosity and selflessness that the Allison team has displayed, and couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to be a part of this organisation.”

They fund scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner, while also providing cancer information to the public. They also regularly work to fundraise.
