Interior design of new show home at Aversley Grange, Sawtry brings the beauty of the countryside indoors
Allison Homes Central has pulled back the curtain on its new, four bedroom Eltham show home and unveiled the stylish interior design choices on display at Aversley Grange in Sawtry, a development of 138 new-build homes on Glatton Road.
The newly launched Aversley Grange is located on the edge of Sawtry, offering homeowners the perfect blend of modern convenience and countryside living. The development will comprise a high-quality collection of two, three and four bedroom energy-efficient homes, catering to first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers alike.
Countryside-inspired interior design at Aversley Grange
Allison Homes Central has teamed up with specialist interior designers Abode, to create a show home that is calm, contemporary and memorable, all whilst keeping in mind the needs of modern families.
Grace O Brian, Designer at Abode, explained: “Aversley Grange is surrounded by countryside. We were heavily influenced by this and wanted to do a contemporary take on the country theme, as opposed to something older fashioned. Autumnal colours, such as rusts and olive greens, and wood tones were our starting point.
“We wanted to subtly introduce certain lifestyle elements that would suggest how a family might live in the home too, so the utility features a dog walking theme and storage cupboards are filled with outdoor jackets and walking boots.
“We had the most fun designing one of the children’s bedrooms to be woodland themed, with printed wallpaper, cushions and art prints featuring woodland animals and trees tying the room together.”

Clever interior design ideas for modern family homes
The Eltham show home boasts a design that is both sophisticated and easily achievable, featuring panelling, feature paints to the ceiling and clever zoning hacks to get the most out of each space.
Grace continued: “The living room in the Eltham is a generous size and long, so we decided to create a living sofa space on one side and a designated work from home area on the other. We used feature paint and a divider to separate the two zones, which worked brilliantly.”
How to create a warm and welcoming new-build home
Alongside varying wood tones, linen shades and rattan details are also on display throughout the Eltham show home, utilising texture to create a welcoming, warm and comforting space.
Grace added: “Texture plays an important role when making rooms feel inviting. The most important thing new homeowners can do when it comes to creating a cohesive look is making a moodboard, as putting fabrics, finishes and colours together shows whether they’ll all work with each other and avoids costly mistakes. For an easy win, update soft furnishings like cushions and throws.”
Kelly Toms, Sales and Marketing Director at Allison Homes Central, said: “Our new Eltham show home at Aversley Grange is filled with warmth and charm, subtly bringing the outdoors inside as a nod to the development’s idyllic countryside setting.
“Abode’s thoughtful interior design choices perfectly demonstrate how new homeowners can put their own stamp on a new-build home, creating spaces that feel personal, welcoming and reflective of their individual style.
“From the autumnal colours and textures to the finishing touches throughout, every detail has been carefully considered to give homeseekers plenty of inspiration. We hope visitors fall in love with our show home’s interior design as much as we have, and we’d would encourage anyone interested to come and see it for themselves.”
