Completion of Affordable Homes at The Oaks, in Nettleham

Dozens of affordable new homes have been completed in the village of Nettleham, near Lincoln. The Oaks, situated off Deepdale Lane, now comprises 38 new homes, delivered by leading housing provider Amplius in partnership with award-winning housebuilder Allison Homes.

The final properties were completed earlier this week and have been officially handed over to Amplius, with several residents already moving into their new homes. The handover was marked by a special ceremony attended by representatives from Amplius and Allison Homes, to mark this poignant final stage of the project.

The Oaks development comprises a range of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom properties, all available for Shared Ownership and affordable rent, helping to address the pressing need for affordable housing in the area.

This milestone builds on the strong partnership between Allison Homes and Amplius, which has already made a positive impact in the community. Last year, Allison Homes donated £3,800 to Nettleham Community Hub, a local charity that plays a vital role in creating community spirit. The donation enabled an upgrade of the hub’s facilities, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for local residents.

Marcus Keys, Chief Development and Commercial Officer at Amplius, commented:

“There’s a clear need for more affordable housing in this part of Lincolnshire and these homes are helping to address that. There’s also a housing crisis nationally, which we’re playing our part to help tackle. The Oaks is a smart and welcoming development and we’ve already welcomed some customers into their new homes. We’re now looking forward to the final residents moving in.”

Andy Richards, Regional Production Director of Allison Homes, East, said:

“We’ve worked closely with Amplius to ensure these homes meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability. I’m delighted to watch The Oaks evolve to become a community where residents thrive and I’m incredibly proud of our Partnership with Amplius. The passion and commitment of our respective teams are what’s driven the timely delivery of this important and inspiring project.”

The Oaks is the latest in a series of successful collaborations between Allison Homes and Amplius, following the recent completion of Mays Place in Bourne. Both organisations are committed to delivering high-quality, affordable homes and supporting local communities across Lincolnshire and the wider region.

Amplius aims to build 1,000 new homes annually across the Midlands, East and Southeast of England, while Allison Homes is targeting at least 500 new homes each year through its partnership schemes as part of its wider ambition to increase overall housing delivery by 2027.
