Allison Homes donates materials to specialist college in Peterborough

We are pleased to have donated 25 plasterboard pallets to a college based near our Abbey Park development in Thorney, Peterborough, to help create a brand new sensory area.

Calman Colaiste College is an independent specialist college providing further education for young adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours of concern. It offers a range of bespoke programmes for learners at its Thorney based location.

The donated plasterboard pallets from Allison Homes will be used in a new sensory area on the grounds of the college. The students will be using the boards to create a boundary for the area, as well as crafting chairs, benches and planters.

Rebecca Willett, Creative Arts Tutor at Calman Colaiste College, said “We are very grateful for the donation of the pallets. We plan to use them within the redevelopment of our sensory garden for the learners to enjoy. Our learners will also be using them as material to use and make new things as part of our ongoing enterprise skill project.”
