Allison Homes East Midlands volunteers lend a helping hand at Mountsorrel primary school
We have completed the latest volunteering activity as part of our ‘Allison in Action’ initiative, with team members lending a helping hand at Christ Church & Saint Peter’s CofE Primary School in Mountsorrel.
Our Senior Quantity Surveyor, Victoria Pointon, Commercial Director, Gary Whysall, Buyer, Lucy Coxon, Quantity Surveyor, Anthony Tsolakis and Managing Quantity Surveyor, Tom Bradbury recently spent the morning volunteering at the school.
During the session, the team helped improve the school’s outdoor areas, carrying out gardening and maintenance work within its garden and at the front of the school.
The volunteering day marked the latest activity under ‘Allison in Action’, our year-long programme that sees employees dedicate time each month to supporting charities, community groups and local organisations close to our developments. The initiative has already seen team members support Frisby CofE Primary School in Melton Mowbray and Friends of Cotgrave Country Park.
Christ Church & Saint Peter’s CofE Primary School was chosen due to its proximity to our upcoming Gynsill Grange development in Anstey.
Ellia Townsend, Marketing and Communications Officer at Rise Multi Academy Trust, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Allison Homes team for generously giving their time to support Christ Church & Saint Peter’s CofE Primary School.
“Their hard work has made a real difference to our outdoor spaces, helping to create a welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and families. It’s wonderful to see local businesses investing in their communities and supporting our schools to flourish and succeed.”
Emma Weston, Sales Director at Allison Homes East Midlands, said: “It’s fantastic to see another group of our colleagues getting involved in ‘Allison in Action’ and giving their time to support a local school.
“Outdoor spaces are such an important part of school life, and we hope the work carried out by the team will make a positive difference for pupils, staff and the wider school community.
“As we prepare to launch Gynsill Grange in nearby Anstey, it’s important that we continue building strong relationships and supporting organisations that play such an important role within the local community.”
Throughout the coming months, we will continue to support charities, community groups and local organisations across Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire through the ‘Allison in Action’ programme.
