Allison Homes East Midlands helps transform outdoor learning space at Melton Mowbray school
We’ve completed the first volunteering activity as part of our new ‘Allison in Action’ initiative, with team members helping to transform the outdoor learning environment at Frisby Church of England Primary School.
Our Marketing Manager, Meg Vincent and Sales Administrator, Millie Welch spent the morning volunteering at the school, supporting ‘The Fresh Face of Frisby’ project.
During the session, the team cleared overgrown vegetation surrounding the school’s pond area, removed moss from the surrounding decking and carried out general gardening and maintenance work to prepare the space for fresh bark and future landscaping improvements.
The volunteering day marked the first activity under ‘Allison in Action’, our year-long programme that sees employees dedicate time each month to supporting charities, community groups and local organisations close to its developments.
The school was chosen due to its close proximity to our Auster Meadows development in Rearsby, where we’re delivering a collection of 65 energy-efficient one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes on Gaddesby Lane.
