Allison Homes Site Manager wins Premier Guarantee Quality Award at March development
Allison Homes site manager John Cohen has been presented with Premier Guarantee’s Quality Recognition Award at the homebuilder’s Upwell Road development in March, Cambridgeshire, which is delivering much-needed affordable homes in partnership with Accent Housing.
The award, presented by Premier Guarantee – one of the UK’s leading providers of structural warranties and building control services for new homes, recognises site managers who consistently deliver the highest standards in construction quality and site management.
Representatives from Premier Guarantee visited the development on 16th April to present the award to John, in the presence of colleagues from the site team and representatives from Accent Housing, marking his achievement in delivering exceptional build quality and leadership on site. The award also shortlists John for Premier Guarantee’s national Excellence Award, with judging to follow over the coming months.
Upwell Meadows will deliver 110 affordable homes to the Fenland market town, comprising 65 homes for social rent and 45 for shared ownership, with a mix of one to four-bedroom properties. The scheme is part-funded by Homes England and will also provide wider benefits to the community, including investment in local infrastructure, public open space and a dedicated play area. The homes are being built with a strong focus on energy efficiency, incorporating features such as solar PV panels and electric vehicle charging points.
The project has already made a positive impact locally through Allison Homes’ Partnerships Charitable Scheme, including an £11,000 donation to ‘Young People March’, a local youth charity supporting 11–18-year-olds in the area.
John said: “I’m thrilled to receive this award. We take real pride in the homes that we’re building here for Accent and for the community of Fenland, and to have that officially recognised by Premier Guarantee means a lot.“
