Allison Homes renews membership with Future Homes Hub

We’re proud to have renewed our membership with the Future Homes Hub, an independent organisation bringing together the homebuilding sector and wider industry partners to help meet climate and environmental goals.

We’ve been a member of the Future Homes Hub since January 2023, and our continued membership reflects our ongoing commitment to collaboration, sustainability and the future of homebuilding.

The Future Homes Hub was established to support collaboration across the new homes sector, helping homebuilders, supply chain partners, infrastructure providers, finance organisations and Government bodies work together towards a more sustainable future.

Its work is guided by the Future Homes Delivery Plan, which was developed following the launch of the Future Homes Task Force in 2020. The plan sets out a long-term roadmap for the sector, aligned with the Government’s legally binding net zero and wider environmental targets.

The Delivery Plan focuses on four key goals:

  • High-quality homes that are zero carbon ready and sustainable
  • Places and developments that are low carbon, nature-rich, resilient, healthy and well designed
  • Production and construction methods that are net zero and sustainable by 2050
  • Businesses that are recognised and rewarded for net zero and sustainability performance

As a continuing member of the Future Homes Hub, we will be part of a sector-wide effort to share knowledge, develop technical solutions and support the transition towards more sustainable homes and communities.

The Hub’s work includes supporting the industry with future regulatory changes, helping to overcome challenges around skills and supply chains, developing industry-led responses to policy issues and encouraging shared learning across the sector.

John Anderson, CEO of Allison Homes, said: “Our continued membership with the Future Homes Hub reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and collaborating with the wider industry to tackle the challenges ahead.

As a business, we recognise the important role homebuilders have to play in supporting the transition towards a more sustainable future. By working with the Future Homes Hub, we can contribute to important conversations around climate, environmental performance and the future of new homes.

The Future Homes Standard represents a significant shift in homebuilding, helping to create a clear performance difference between new builds and existing housing stock.

Our renewed membership reinforces our commitment to working with the wider industry to support climate and environmental progress, while continuing to deliver well-designed homes and communities for the future.
