Allison Homes looks back on year of community support
Over the past 12 months, we have remained committed to supporting the communities we build in, working with local charities and organisations to fund projects that make a meaningful difference.
Since September 2024, we have contributed over £89,470 to a wide range of causes across the East, East Midlands and South West. These include support for mental health services, youth sports teams, local schools, foodbanks and community-led events. Every donation reflects our continued commitment to being a responsible, community-focused developer.
To date, our Partnerships division has also donated £73,500 nationwide as part of our Partnerships Charitable Scheme – an initiative in which £100 is donated per home built on a Partnerships development. We work closely with our housing association partners and local authorities to select charities and have so far donated £22,500 to communities in Devon. In Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, a total of £51,000 has been donated, and over the last year alone £39,000 has been given to local causes.
Throughout the past year, we have supported national charitable campaigns across all our regions.
At Christmas, the team took part in KidsOut’s Giving Tree initiative, swapping the traditional office Secret Santa for toy donations to disadvantaged children in refuge. A total of 170 presents were collected across our Group, East, South West and East Midlands regions.
For Easter, employees donated over 200 chocolate eggs to foodbanks in the communities where we operate. 98 eggs were given to Peterborough Foodbank in Cambridgeshire, 31 eggs to Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) in Mid Devon, and 78 eggs to Long Eaton and Sawley Foodbank in Derbyshire.

In honour of Pride Month (June), we donated £1,500 to three LGBTQ+ charities – Lincoln Pride, Sunrise Diversity in North Devon and Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre. This marked the fourth consecutive year of Pride Month support, bringing our total donations to LGBTQ+ causes to £6,500. Pride flags were also proudly flown at several of our developments.
In September 2025, we proudly hosted Macmillan Coffee Mornings across all four offices, with the East Midlands team even adding some friendly competition through their very own Bake Off. A huge well done to everyone who baked, brewed and joined in. Together we raised £572.22 for such an important cause.
Last month we also hosted a charity golf day, bringing together colleagues, partners and supporters from across the business. The event was not only a fantastic opportunity to connect, but also raised over £37,848 for Marie Curie, helping to fund the charity’s vital work supporting people living with terminal illness and their families.

Over in our East region, we have supported numerous charities, primary schools and grassroots sports teams. We also partnered with Nene Park Trust as the lead community project sponsor of the Peterborough Celebrates Festival. As part of our sponsorship, we supported the festival’s ‘Flutter of Butterflies’ art installation, created by schools and community groups using recycled materials, and hosted a LEGO housebuilding competition, which saw nearly 200 children take part.
We are also regular supporters of inspire+, a Lincolnshire-based charity focused on developing leadership and life skills in young people through sport and mentoring. One of our donations contributed to the Leadership Pathway programme, which engages hundreds of young people across the region each year, and for the past two years our employees have volunteered at the inspire+ Mini Olympics.
In the South West, we have worked alongside Legal & General and LiveWest to support a number of community projects in the village of Witheridge in Devon. These have included contributions to the local primary school, youth football teams, the community newsletter and a range of improvements to public spaces and community buildings.

Our East Midlands region proudly supported Act One, an amateur youth theatre group in Leicestershire, by donating £500 to help them host a production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This donation reflects our commitment to championing creativity, inclusion and community wellbeing through the arts. Allison Homes volunteers also rolled up their sleeves to help a local primary school reopen its doors, making a direct difference to teachers, pupils and families.
John Anderson, CEO at Allison Homes, said: “At Allison Homes, we are proud to support our local communities, and to have contributed to a wide range of projects over the past year. These initiatives play an important role in strengthening neighbourhoods and improving the everyday lives of the people who live there.
“As our business continues to grow, we remain committed to building strong, sustainable communities. We look forward to continuing our charitable work in the year ahead.”
