Allison Homes hands over Mays Place Partnership Development to Amplius
More than 120 new affordable homes have been completed in Bourne, Lincolnshire, marking a significant milestone for the local community. The homes, located at the Mays Place development on Manning Road, include a mix of one, two, three, and four-bedroom properties. Delivered by leading housing provider Amplius in partnership with Allison Homes, the project represents a shared commitment to addressing the growing need for affordable housing in Lincolnshire.
Construction began in 2023, and the final four homes were officially handed over to Amplius this week. The 121 homes are available under various tenures, including Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy, and Affordable Rent, offering flexible options for local families and individuals.
To celebrate the completion of the development, representatives from both Amplius and Allison Homes gathered on February 11, 2025. Among those present were Michael Ramsay, Senior Site Manager; Jon Cook, Group Managing Director of Allison Homes; and Christine Steel, Head of Development and New Business at Amplius. The group toured the newly completed homes and explored the development to experience firsthand the exceptional construction quality that defines Mays Place.
Jon Cook commented: “The Mays Place development in Bourne is a shining example of what can be achieved through strong partnerships. Together with Amplius, we’ve delivered high-quality, affordable homes that provide local families with opportunities they might not have had otherwise. We’re incredibly proud of this development and the positive impact it will have on the community.”
Michael Ramsay, who played a pivotal role in overseeing construction at Mays Place, recently earned the prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award for his outstanding leadership and dedication to quality. Reflecting on his achievement, Michael said: “This award is a testament to the hard work of my entire team. The commitment and passion everyone brought to this project ensured that we delivered homes of exceptional quality.“
Marcus Keys, Chief Development and Commercial Officer at Amplius, said: “Mays Place is a development which goes a long way to helping to address the need for affordable housing in this part of Lincolnshire. The whole country is facing a housing crisis and we’re committed to playing our part in helping to tackle it.”
He continued: “By partnering with Allison Homes, we’ve been able to enhance our portfolio in the county and provide opportunities for local families to take their first step onto the property ladder. Mays Place is a very important development for us as an organisation. It’s one of our largest developments and the first one we’ve completed since becoming Amplius.”
