Allison Homes appoints trio of senior team members to develop new East Midlands region

We are establishing our presence in the East Midlands by hiring three new senior team members, to help carry out our ambitious growth plans and secure new land across the region.

Allison Homes East Midlands is our brand new region, covering Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Aimée Watts, Paul Savage and Ryan Evans have been appointed as Land Manager, Commercial Manager and Head of Technical respectively. The trio will all be based at Allison Homes East Midlands’ office in Castle Donington, which is in the centre of the region’s operational area, running from Chesterfield to Rugby.

Aimée started her career as a Graduate Land Buyer at Orbit Group, before moving to L&Q and then Countryside Partnerships as a Land and Partnerships Manager. Paul has worked in housebuilding for over 35 years, having previously spent time at Crest Nicholson, Bovis Homes and Keepmoat, and Ryan joins Allison Homes with over 10 years of experience in the industry, from working at Taylor Wimpey, Bloor Homes and Avant Homes.

Aimée, from Leicestershire, said: “Allison’s strong focus on partnerships and its growth strategy is really exciting, as is the opportunity to help grow the business. The company values and emphasis on teamwork really appealed to me, and everyone who I spoke to before joining was welcoming and approachable.”

Paul, from Loughborough, Leicestershire, said: “I was really keen to explore this new role, as it provided me with a chance to join a progressive company looking to establish itself in the market and with the ability to make a difference. Each day is different and very varied, some days are spent focused on land acquisitions and others on building relationships.”

Ryan, who lives in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, added: “I really like the direction Allison Homes is going in, and I want to be part of the journey.”

Currently, Aimée is working to acquire land and assisting Allison Group in establishing its newly launched Partnerships division. In a typical day, Aimée reviews new land opportunities, talks to key affordable and private rented sector (PRS) partners, agents and landowners, submits land offers, and works towards securing new development schemes.

Aimée commented: “I really enjoy how varied my role is and that no two days are the same. I especially enjoy being involved with and learning new skills from a variety of departments, and liaising with our partners to progress schemes.

“Everyone at Allison Homes has been incredibly welcoming and I am proud to work for a business that values its employees and ensures teamwork is a priority.”

Day-to-day, Paul’s responsibilities involve identifying and valuing land, getting involved with land bids and visiting potential sites. He is also establishing a sub-contractor base, which enables Allison Homes East Midlands to partner with like-minded companies who share the same values.

Paul said: “I am enjoying being an integral part of helping establish and grow the new region. It is clear that every member of the team has a part to play in our success, and I am pleased that my viewpoint and experience is valued and respected.

“Starting at Allison Homes has been a breath of fresh air. I was welcomed from the beginning by all staff and settled in immediately, and I’m looking forward to meeting more employees in due course.”

A typical work day for Ryan involves going out to potential sites that would be suitable for the Allison brand and working up layouts and technical reports to help form appraisals for bids, all of which draws on his past experience and expertise in architectural design, master planning and engineering.

Ryan said: “I really enjoy being part of a new region and being able input from the beginning of our journey. Allison Homes has been brilliant, everyone is helpful, friendly and they’ve really made me feel part of the Allison family. Even when I’m working remotely from Allison Group’s head office in Peterborough, I still feel part of the whole team.”

Karl Edwards, Operations Director for Allison Homes East Midlands, said: “We are delighted to welcome Aimée, Paul and Ryan to our team. They are all excellent additions, each bringing a wealth of expertise and specialist skills.

“It is a very exciting time for us at Allison Homes East Midlands as we look to establish our presence and reputation in the region, and secure land opportunities across Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. I cannot wait to see how Aimée, Paul and Ryan push the business forward into new avenues of success.”

Outside of work, Aimée is a motorsport marshal and in 2023 was a race marshal at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the United States Grand Prix in Texas. She also volunteers as Deputy Stage Manager and stage crew at her local theatre in Hinckley.

Paul is a former coach for the Great British Police and Leicestershire Police basketball teams, and now focuses on supporting Leicester City Football Club, volunteering as a stage crew member for a local youth theatre group, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Ryan is an avid fan of football and travelling, and dedicates his time to his family, which consists of himself, his partner of 18 years, their two children and their golden retriever.
