Allison Homes South West preserves trees in Devon

We are delighted to have successfully transported and replanted trees in Devon, preserving the local area’s natural environment.

We moved a variety of small trees from Buckland Brewer, where we are providing new homes at our Foxglove View development, to Winkleigh, where we are building at High Moor View.

In order to carefully relocate the trees, we wrapped the roots with hessian fabric, which helps to preserve the soil. The trees were then lifted and carried to Winkleigh via lorry, before being replanted in as much original soil as possible.

Michele Jones, Head of Sales at Allison Homes South West, said: “We are thrilled that this replanting project was such a success. The project was a significant investment, and more importantly, helped to protect and preserve the local environment.

“It’s hugely important that we were able to relocate these trees and maintain their many years of growth and heritage. At Allison Homes, we’re all about doing things the right way, and are proud that the people of Winkleigh are now able to appreciate these lovely trees.”
