Karl Edwards appointed to lead creation of new East Midlands region

Allison Homes has appointed Karl Edwards as Operations Director for its newly created East Midlands Region.

Karl will focus on establishing a new office and team in the region, as the company seeks to drive forward its presence in this market.

This will be Allison’s fourth region, following on from the establishment of offices in the South West and Eastern Counties and the Central region.

Karl has a long career in the house building industry, starting out as a joiner, moving on to become a site manager at Barratt Homes East Midlands and then spending most of his career to date in land, most recently as Senior Land Director at Gladman.

John Anderson, Group Chief Executive, said “Expansion into the East Midlands Region is a natural next step for the company, and an important part of our plans to grow our business. Anchored on Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, there is a strong and diverse economy with excellent transport links and therefore strong demand for housing. We already have developments and land in the area, so setting up the new office makes perfect sense. Karl has the experience and the local knowledge that we need to help it get quickly off the ground.”

Karl Edwards said, “This is a great opportunity for me to join an ambitious, forward-looking company and be in at the start as we establish a new regional business. I grew up in Nottingham so know the area well and I am looking forward to leading the team and growing the business in an area of fantastic opportunity. I shall be focused on establishing the Allison Homes reputation within the East Midlands Region, bringing quality developments to the area. The Allison brand will be a new offer in the market and with our strong land-bank and well-priced portfolio of properties, I feel we are well positioned to make the most of the opportunity.”
