Allison Homes rises to the occasion to raise over £570 for Macmillan Coffee Morning

This September, we proudly joined communities across the country in supporting Macmillan Cancer Support through the charity’s famous Coffee Morning fundraising initiative.

Macmillan’s Coffee Morning is the charity’s biggest annual fundraiser, and since the first event in 1990, it has raised over £310 million nationwide. Last year alone, communities across the UK raised more than £17 million to help ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

Our East, Group and South West teams kicked off the week on Monday 22nd September with a bake sale, while our East Midlands office followed on Thursday 25th September with their own bake sale and bake-off contest to crown the region’s best baker.

Across our offices, colleagues brought in their homemade creations, enjoyed coffee and cake together, and raised money to help Macmillan provide vital emotional, practical, physical and financial support to people living with cancer and their families.

Thanks to the generosity of our teams, we are delighted to share that together we raised £572.22 across all regions for Macmillan. Every donation will go directly towards ensuring that people affected by cancer can access the support and guidance they need, from the moment of diagnosis and beyond.

From a show stopping Biscoff cake in the East Midlands region, to apple cake that disappeared in minutes in the South West, our teams really went above and beyond to support the cause. The bake-off competition in the East Midlands office also proved a hit, with Hannah Wardle crowned star baker on the day.
