Allison Homes welcomes Andrew Sparrow as Head of Enterprise Architecture

Allison Homes is pleased to welcome Andrew Sparrow, who has joined the business as Head of Enterprise Architecture, as the company continues to strengthen its leadership team.

Andrew brings 25 years of experience within the housebuilding sector. He began his career at 18 as a trainee programmer in the IT Department of David Wilson Homes. Since then, he has developed a strong focus on business efficiency, cross-department working, and the role of data in shaping how organisations operate. Over his career, Andrew has been involved in two business mergers and has seen firsthand the complexities and challenges of the housebuilding industry.

Reflecting on his new role, Andrew said: “In housebuilding, it is about connecting the full lifecycle, land, planning, build, sales, and aftercare, so everyone is working with the same information, and systems support the whole journey. My role is about joining strategy to execution across systems, data, and processes. I ensure that technology investments support the way the business operates, today and as it grows. Enterprise architecture helps the business make better technology decisions, avoid unnecessary complexity and cost, and reduce risk as we scale.

As Allison Homes continues to grow, the role of Head of Enterprise Architecture is becoming increasingly important across the industry. “Allison Homes is at a really exciting stage of growth, which aligned with my personal career ambitions,” Andrew added. “There is the opportunity to build strong technology and data foundations now, so the business can scale confidently rather than fixing problems later.

Allison Homes’ ambition is to be known as ‘the homebuilder you can trust’, with these values embedded across the business. Andrew’s initial focus will be on understanding how the organisation works day to day. “Learning how teams work across land, construction, sales, commercial, finance, and customer care will give me a clear view of the systems landscape, data flows, and integration points,” he said. “From there, I will look to identify any immediate risks or bottlenecks that could slow growth, as well as opportunities to help accelerate it. A key part of my role will be building strong relationships with teams across the business.

He also highlights the wider industry challenge. “Housebuilders often face challenges with systems and data because they have developed over time in silos. This can lead to fragmented information and fragile integrations. The challenge is moving quickly while still building something that will support the business as it grows.

With a strong focus on people and the customer journey, Andrew is clear about what he wants to achieve. “I want customers to have smooth journeys and clear communication throughout the sales process, which can often be a stressful time. For colleagues, my aim is to reduce manual processes and make information easier to access so they can make better decisions. For the business, it is about enabling better decisions that are lower risk and deliver stronger returns on investment.

As Allison Homes works towards its ambitious goal of building 2,000 homes a year, Andrew is looking forward to contributing to the journey. “There is a real opportunity to help shape the foundations of Allison Homes. It is exciting to join a growing organisation with a clear ambition to become a trusted and well-known housebuilder. There is a strong sense that we are all working together, and I am looking forward to building something meaningful with colleagues across the business.

John Anderson, Group CEO of Allison Homes, said: “Andrew brings a wealth of experience in housebuilding technology and a strong understanding of how data and systems can support growth. As we continue to scale Allison Homes, his expertise will be instrumental in strengthening our digital foundations and ensuring our teams are equipped with the right tools to deliver efficiently and consistently for our customers. We are very pleased to welcome him to the business.
