Allison Homes hands over affordable development in Hackleton

Housebuilder Allison Homes has handed over a new affordable homes development in Hackleton to the housing association Grand Union Housing Group.

The development, called Hackleton Heights, consists of a range affordable homes, which will be available through social and affordable rent and shared ownership, allowing Northamptonshire property seekers to access the property ladder.

The affordable housing being provided will include three two bedroom homes, 16 three bedroom homes and two four bedroom homes.

Grand Union provides homes for more than 27,000 people across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, and manages over 11,000 social housing tenancies.

Dave Lakin, Director of Development & Commercial at Grand Union, said: “Our new homes in Hackleton are a great place to live. Hackleton is a thriving village, benefitting from a strong local community, local services and it is well connected to local larger towns in the area.

“We’re providing a range of affordable homes on our site to rent for families and also those looking to find their first home, through shared ownership. Providing more affordable housing is critical and we aim to create a sustainable and balanced community where residents can thrive.”

Ian Jackson, Group Partnership Director at Allison Homes, said: “We are very proud to have handed over the Hackleton development to Grand Union Housing Group. This development will provide Northamptonshire people with high quality and much needed affordable homes that they can be proud to call their own.

“As Group Partnership Director I feel very passionate about affordable housing, and as a responsible housebuilder we are committed to providing local people with an accessible way to own their own home.

“In the next five years, Allison Homes will be delivering an additional 500 affordable homes every year, and as part of this pledge we’re delighted to have worked with Grand Union.”
