Local housebuilder helps make Easter a little sweeter for local families
Allison Homes South West is helping to spread some Easter cheer in Mid Devon by donating Easter eggs to local charity Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) for the third year in a row, to support individuals and families experiencing hardship.
Staff at Allison Homes South West have collected Easter eggs, which have been delivered to the charity’s Tiverton food bank in time for Easter. The initiative builds on the success of the past two years, with the team donating even more eggs this year to support local people in need.
Holly Reid, Fundraising Manager at CHAT, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at Allison Homes South West for their continued support. Easter eggs go a long way in bringing a little joy to children and families who need it the most.”
By supporting CHAT’s Easter appeal, Allison Homes South West hopes to make a small but meaningful difference to local families during the Easter period.
Glyn Mabey, Managing Director of Allison Homes South West, added: “We’re proud to support CHAT again this year, and the important work they do to help people across Mid Devon facing difficult circumstances. Donating Easter eggs is a simple way for our team to come together and help local families over the Easter period.”
CHAT provides support to people experiencing hunger and housing difficulties across Mid Devon. Based in Tiverton, the charity also carries out outreach work in Crediton, Cullompton and Uffculme, offering free advice and support on housing, debt and money management, alongside practical help through its food bank, pantry and the provision of essential household items.
Allison Homes South West is currently building new homes at Tarka Coombe in Landkey, Barnstaple, and High Moor View in Winkleigh. The team is also delivering affordable homes at its Partnership sites in Tiverton and Witheridge.
