Growth Continues as Allison Homes Gains Planning Approval for Finney Meadows in Shepshed

We are thrilled to announce that planning permission has now been granted for our latest development in Shepshed, marking another important milestone in the ongoing expansion of our East Midlands division.

Finney Meadows, located off Iveshead Road, will bring 53 high quality new homes to the area and will be the second development added to our regional portfolio since its launch in 2024. The site will feature a thoughtfully designed mix of two, three and four bedroom properties, with up to 11 of the homes provided as affordable housing.

Construction is set to begin later this month, with the first residents expected to move in during Spring 2026.

As part of this new development, more than £120,000 will be invested into Section 106 contributions to support essential local services and facilities. These contributions will help deliver improvements to young people’s open spaces, outdoor sports, allotments, town centre improvements, waste infrastructure, Shepshed Library, highways and sustainable transport initiatives. Local primary and secondary education will also benefit from further funding.

The relationship with the community is already underway. Earlier this year we supported Act One, a youth theatre in Shepshed, with a £500 donation to assist with their production of The Little Mermaid. We loved meeting the young people involved and it was an excellent opportunity to help a valued local group, and introduce ourselves to the wider community.

Finney Meadows has been carefully planned to create a welcoming, sustainable place to live. Open green space and attractive landscaping will sit at the heart of the development, helping to promote a strong sense of community and wellbeing. This project follows the success of our first East Midlands site, St Mary’s Chase in Stanton under Bardon.

In addition to Shepshed, several further land parcels have been acquired across Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. These additions support our wider company ambition of delivering 2,000 homes each year across all our regions.
